1. How Much Does A Perimeter Drain System Cost?

A Simple Perimeter Drain & Downspout Drain System Around A 40’ x 50’ Residential Home Can Cost Between $10,000 - $15,000.

What Is Included In A Simple Perimeter and Downspout Drain System?

  • Excavation ticket with BC1Call, and on-site marking
  • Excavating around services: Water, Sewer, Gas, Electrical, Cable
  • Excavation of soil around house down to foundation footer
  • Perimeter drain system with inlet holes in pipe to collect ground water
  • Downspout drain system with no holes in pipe to collect roof and gutter water
  • Concrete sump system in ground to collect water, and filter out debris
  • System tied into city storm water connection, ditch, or other source
  • Rough grading of soil around house where excavation occurred
  • Site cleanup, and road cleanup

A more complicated perimeter drain & downspout drain system around a 40’ x 50’ residential home can cost between $20,000 - $50,000 +

Additional Factors That Will Increase the Cost:

  • Protecting surfaces from machinery (temporary roads)
  • Finished landscaping that either needs protecting or replacing afterwards
  • Tight spaces that don’t allow dump truck, excavator and loader access
  • Obstacles that need to be worked around
  • Disposal of any soil from the project (soil expands 1.3 X when excavated, Gravel is imported for around pipes)

2. How Much Does A French Drain Cost?

A Simple French Drain System 75’ Long Can Cost Between $4000-$6000

What is included in a simple French drain system?
  • Excavation ticket with BC1Call, and on-site marking
  • Simple plywood temporary roads
  • Sod cut, saved and reinstalled at completion of project
  • Excavation of soil 16” Wide x 16” deep x length of drain system
  • All soil excavated hauled and disposed of
  • Tested filter fabric lining bottom, sides, and top of trench
  • 4” PVC perforated pipe at the bottom of the trench
  • Trench backfilled with clear drain rock
  • French drain system connected to outlet source: City storm, ditch, etc.

A More Complicated French Drain System 150’ Can Cost Between $10,000 - $20,000 +

Additional factors that will increase the cost:
  • Size and length of the system
  • Protecting surfaces from machinery (temporary roads)

3. How Much Does It Cost To Regrade A Yard?

Regrading A 5000 Ft2 Yard Can Cost Between $3000 - $4000

Regrading a yard or site is the process of making sure the ground is sloped away from homes and structures.

This process involves completely removing the existing landscape and starting over again.

What Is Included In Regrading My Lawn?

  • Excavation ticket with BC1Call, and on-site marking
  • Harley raking existing lawn to repurpose it
  • Laser leveling area to make sure it is graded correctly
  • Hand raking the perimeter if required
  • Minor disposal if required of unearthed rocks and debris
