The Beginning
Sam began doing landscaping part-time for family and neighbors while still working as a firefighter. This was the year he realized there was a gap in the local market for honest, high-quality landscaping services, and he was determined to fill it.

A Full-Time Commitment
In 2020, Sam took the leap and left firefighting to pursue landscaping full-time, building Back 40 Landscaping on a foundation of integrity and craftsmanship.
A Family Business
Natasha joined the business full-time in 2021, leaving her job as a preschool teacher. Together, Sam and Natasha formed a husband-and-wife team, with Sam handling field operations and Natasha managing sales and administration.
